BUILDER’S CLUB
The Harrisonburg District Builder’s Club invites you to answer the call to join them in the mending of God’s creation.
For over 38 years churches on this district have needed and sought assistance with their ministry needs, building needs, and salary support. The Builder’s Club has been able to provide some of that assistance through the gracious twice a year donations of its members. In so doing, they also provide an affirmation that others in the district support their ministry needs.
The Builder’s Club intends to mend God’s creation through the United Methodist Churches on the Harrisonburg District through…
Assisting churches in renovating and improving their facilities
- Providing additional financial assistance for any needed new churches in the district.
- Promoting special programs in the Harrisonburg District
- Promoting better stewardship with second mile giving.
We invite you to prayerfully consider becoming a member of the Builder’s Club by….
- Answering the twice a year call for a donation of $25 or more.
- Sharing about the Builder’s Club with others in your Faith Community.
- Inviting a Builder’s Club member to your church for a presentation.

Church Annual Birthday Celebration
Each year in June all methdoist churchs celebrat the birth of the methodist church, here at Strasburg United Methodist Church we do it by celebrating our memebers birthday by having a Potluck dinner but we do ask memeber to bring one disk and sit at the table of their month

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper
Shrove Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. In prior years, Christians often fasted during Lent and gave up meat, fat, oils, and other rich foods. Shrove Tuesday was a day to clean out the cupboards and have one last feast before Lent. It is similar to Carnival in Latin American countries or Mardi Gras in New Orleans. While we United Methodists don't fast as severely as people did in the past, Shrove Tuesday is a day to get in to the spirit of the Christian year. Pancake suppers have become common among Protestants as a symbol of the good things that we give up for Lent.
